Context: On the evening of November 6, 2024, Abigail discovered that her husband, Jacob Retegan, was cheating on her and committing adultery. Her husband had screenshotted images of Abigail’s own sister, Ruth Teodorescu, off of Ruth’s personal Facebook page. He then ran them through an artificial intelligence software to undress his wife’s sister. The videos attached depict a screen recording of Jacob Retegan‘s own phone screen being recorded with Abigail navigating to the photos which he hid in his iPhone’s “hidden” album. To show that none of this has been doctored by Abigail, as she knew she would be accused of doing so , Abigail also took a video with her phone of Jacob‘s phone as she physically navigated throughout it.

To protect Ruth Teodorescu, the videos have been blurred when the images of her are shown.

Abigail also discovered evidence in her husband‘s phone, Jacob Retegan, that he is soliciting other women for illicit photos. This includes messaging women on the iFunny app and viewing other inappropriate pornographic content. The proof of this can also be seen in the videos and photos attached.

All of this is taking place behind closed doors, as Jacob Retegan preaches the word of God on Sundays at Bethel Romanian Church, his father’s congregation. He also attends seminary at Sola Scripture University in California every few weeks, preaching on occasion at Alin Bob’s church, giving the impression that he is a man of God, while his family dynamic is in shambles at home.

My name is Abigail Teodorescu, daughter of Ovidiu and Mihaela Teodorescu, and wife to Jacob Retegan.

My family moved to Nampa, Idaho in February of 2017. We began attending Maranatha Romanian Church of God in Nampa, Idaho. After immersing ourselves into the church, several red flags began to catch our attention with regard to corruption, lying, and manipulation taking place at the leadership level within the Maranatha Romanian Church of God.

To keep the story short and sweet, as all other evidence has already been provided and elaborated on below, my father, upon receiving a revelation from God regarding what was taking place within the church, began to call everyone to repentance. He openly, verbally opposed everything that you will read about within all of the evidence that has been compiled here.

Ioan (Ionuc) Retegan has conducted himself with the utmost disregard for the word of God, but holds onto his position as a pastor with an iron grip. To elaborate, he has done whatever is necessary to maintain his image and position within the community over the years, regardless of the consequences, all while making sure to cover his tracks as best as he can. This includes, but is not limited to, defrauding a Christian international organization hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Eventually, after moving to Idaho, as God would ordain it, Abigail Teodorescu and Jacob Retegan entered into a relationship that would eventually lead to their marriage in July of 2020. Because of Abigail’s father’s open opposition of Ioan (Ionuc) Retegan’s actions, and several personal one-on-one conversations and confrontations between the two men with regard to Ionuc’s lies, manipulation, and sinful lifestyle as the pastor of the local church, Ovidiu Teodorescu became his number one enemy in his eyes, so to speak. For that reason, Ioan (Ionuc) Retegan was intent on splitting up his son and Ovidiu Teodorescu’s daughter.

Over the years that they dated, he successfully did so on several occasions, but the couple persevered and reunited each time. Eventually, after reuniting in November 2019, Jacob Retegan confronted his parents about their opposition of his relationship with Abigail, and notified them that he had proposed to Abigail and they were engaged to be married. His father and mother spent hours, until approximately 3 AM that evening, attempting to manipulate him into breaking off the relationship yet again. Jacob stood his ground.

Over the course of the next few months as they planned their wedding, Ioan (Ionuc) Retegan committed various egregious acts against the couple to prevent the wedding from taking place. This included announcing to the entire community, and his new congregation, Bethel Romanian Pentecostal Church, that the couple is disinviting everyone from their wedding, when they had not done so. After the wedding, the couple also discovered that he had made several phone calls to family and friends that they had invited to the wedding, and disinvited them on the couples’ behalf, without their knowledge.

The day of the wedding, Ioan (Ionuc) Retegan pulled aside the officiating minister that Abigail and Jacob had chosen, and implied to him that the couple had had sexual relations prior to marriage, a mere five minutes before the ceremony was supposed to start. The minister in question, Teo Costea (from Phoenix, Arizona), went directly to the couple and asked them before the Lord if the allegations were true, relaying it was Jacob’s father that had just informed him of this. The couple explained that they were not. To which the minister, Teo Costea, revealed he knew the allegations were NOT true because the Lord had revealed the truth to him. However, he explained to the couple, so that man cannot say that he did not do his due diligence, he had to question the couple about the allegations Ionuc Retegan had made.

The wedding proceeded, and following the event, Ioan (Ionuc) Retegan and his wife, Daniela (Dana) Retegan, continued to spread, lies about the couple to the community and maintain the narrative that they had created surrounding the couples’ relationship. Many things happened over the years, including the manipulation of Jacob‘s own siblings to be against him and his wife. Jacob’s sister-in-law, Ella Retegan, wife to JD Retegan, was so indoctrinated that she went so far as to phone Abigail at work and berate her with profane language with regard to her lack of a good-standing relationship with Ionuc and Dana Retegan. The proof of this, and conversation between Abigail and Ella has been attached.

The conversation then moved to a family group chat, where Jacob openly requested the entire family get together and confront all of the lies, manipulation, and drama that unfolded over the years, in order to wipe the slate clean once and for all, and start a fresh relationship. At first Ionuc Retegan obliged, inviting them to meet at his house with everyone. However, after Jacob’s own sister, Rachel, and her husband, Nathan Seicean, replied on the family group chat expressing their disgust for their parents’ actions as well, Ionuc retracted his invitation. He refused to meet after having invited everyone. This family group chat has also been attached as evidence of the conversation that was had.

Ionuc proceeded to insist on the family group chat that he be allowed to meet with each individual couple separately (Jacob with Abigail, Rachel with Nathan, JD with Ella). Abigail and Jacob refused this, as did Nathan and Rachel, knowing that in doing so, this would enable Ionuc to manipulate the individual conversations once again and twist the narrative to save his own image. Both couples expressed they wished to meet and discuss the issues at hand with the WHOLE family present. Ionuc once again refused, citing Biblical passages, that he intentionally left portions out of to fit his argument.

Jacob and Abigail together agreed to cut off all contact with Ionuc and Dana until they were ready to reconcile everything that had happened in the past face-to-face with the whole family, for the purpose of clearing up any misunderstandings, misinformation, and misconception that the immediate family members had with regard to the couple as a result of the narrative they spread. This was communicated by Jacob Retegan on the family group chat, as well.

As time went on, Ionuc managed to successfully manipulate Jacob once again into forsaking his wife and children. Jacob announced to the entire church that he and his wife were attending, New Beginnings Church in Nampa, Idaho, under Church of God, that he was leaving to attend a Baptist Church because he had become a Calvinist. He cited a document forwarded to the entire New Beginnings congregation, entitled “Truth.docx”, with all of the reasons for his departure. He furthermore stated and reassured everyone that he would not be returning to Bethel Romanian church as he does not agree with their actions, nor his father’s actions or doctrine.

This lasted a few weeks, after which it became abundantly clear that Ionuc Retegan had managed to sway his son once again, when Jacob returned to Bethel Romanian church and was immediately placed at the pulpit to preach. His wife, Abigail, and children, continued to attend New Beginnings after she openly related to her husband that she could not in good faith, attend his father‘s congregation, knowing his father‘s record, actions, and that he has never repented of what he has done in the past, and continues to utilize Ovidiu Teodorescu as a scapegoat for the history of sinful actions Ionuc has committed in Nampa.

As time passed, the Lord revealed to Abigail that her husband Jacob, was participating himself in various egregious acts and sins before the Lord. These are including, but not limited to: masturbation, pornography, solicitation of photographs from other women, solicitation of other women online, and even using artificial intelligence to manipulate a photo of Abigail‘s own sister, Ruth Teodorescu, which he screenshotted off of Ruth’s personal Facebook page, to portray her naked. He stored this photo away in his phone’s photo album, where Abigail discovered it one evening. The evidence of this has been included, as well.

Never in a million years would I have imagined that I would be writing these words or providing this information and evidence for the entire world to see. But, because I love the Lord, and because I love my husband, and because I want my family back together, I must stand for the truth.

My father-in-law, Ionuc Retegan, is a wicked man and lives in sin. This sinful lifestyle has passed on to all of his children, including my husband, but it stops with me. My husband, Jacob Retegan, is currently attending Sola Scriptura, the Biblical school endorsed by the Romanian Pentecostal Churches Union in the United States and Canada. Every 2 to 3 weeks, he flies out to attend seminars, and his father has even arranged for him to preach at Alin Bob’s church, or stay at Pastor Alin Bob’s house in California on several occasions, when he attends these seminars.

My husband, Jacob, preaches at his father‘s congregation, Bethel Romanian Pentecostal Church, in Nampa, Idaho, at least twice a month if not more. He attends services there without his wife, me, and has participated in slandering me before the entire community for refusing to support him in these endeavors.

It has become abundantly clear that my husband, Jacob Retegan, did not depart New Beginnings because he became a Calvinist as he claims, but because he was living and continues to live an immoral life, which God had revealed to the pastor of New Beginnings, who had several closed-door conversations with Jacob about what the Lord had told him he was guilty of. It has become abundantly clear that my husband became fearful of being exposed, and therefore left and went to join those who participate in living the same sinful life he currently leads.

I have kept quiet this entire time. But, after the most recent evidence that I discovered where my husband is now committing adultery, I will no longer remain quiet. My reason for doing this is not to destroy my marriage, but to save it from the destruction that has already come upon it. My husband is gone from home 24 hours a day. When he is home, it is to eat, watch movies, commit his immoral actions behind closed doors, and sleep. He is no longer involved in anything regarding his household duties as a father to our children, and as a husband to me. This is where his loyalty to his father has led him.

This is where Ionuc Retegan leads and influences his followers, his congregation, and his children. He leads them to hell.

I implore the individuals that are reading these words to demand justice for me and my family, and I implore the leaders reading these words that are and have been aware of these various situations hereby documented, to come forward and condemn these wrongdoings and start anew. Because these occurrences take place within what we claim to be the House of the Lord, the world looks at us and slanders the name of Jesus Christ. It is time for a revival. It is time the church turns to Christ in ABSOLUTE TRUTH. The only way to achieve this is to renounce and repent of the sin we have all been living in, and hold each other accountable moving forward as brothers and sisters in Christ.

Context: Members of the church Jacob is now attending (Bethel Romanian Church), like Petrica (Petru) Sandor, have also recognized that Jacob’s priorities in his family dynamic are lacking. Jacob prioritizes his father and mother, siblings, friends. This includes going out to lunches and dinners with his parents, his siblings, and friends on Sundays, and other days, without his wife and children.

Abigail Teodorescu has refused to participate in these events, as the Retegan family’s transgressions against her have never been reconciled. The Retegan family (Ionuc and Dana Retegan) have never admitted any fault, continue to gaslight and continue to uphold the false narrative they have built over the years with regard to Abigail Teodorescu, and her parents Mihaela and Ovidiu Teodorescu.

While Abigail has forgiven them, the Bible commands that we not partake in the company of mockers, nor in the company of the wicked. As the Retegan family has refused any of Abigail’s attempts at reconciliation, which would require them to admit to the truth, repairing the relationship has been made impossible through their refusal. They continue to live in their hidden, wicked ways, while fighting to maintain their public image, tearing down the image of anyone who should stand in their way.

In the videos, Joshua can be seen driving at dangerously high speeds, while using the utmost profane language, admitting to being drunk, admitting to being under the influence of drugs, and endangering the public. This further testifies to the corruption that takes place within Ionuc Retegan’s family.

Throughout their relationship over the years, Ioan (Ionuc) Retegan fought fervently to split his son, Jacob, up from Abigail. He succeeded in doing so numerous times. Shown below is evidence of messages that he sent to Jacob warning and telling him that he hopes he is not getting involved with Abigail once again. Just a few days after this message, he visited Jacob at work one evening and manipulated him until Jacob caved and agreed to once again break off the couples’ relationship.

Ionuc and Dana fought over the years to push Jacob into a relationship with the daughter of one of Ionuc’s good friends from out of state, Grace Luța, Iosif Luța’s daughter. Despite Jacob stating several times that he was not interested in her romantically, they continued to push. On one particular occasion, Jacob went to visit Abigail’s family and have dinner with them, on Valentine’s Day. Upon arriving at their house, he unfortunately informed them that just that morning, his mother, Daniela Retegan, had paid for and mailed a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates to Grace with Jacob‘s name signed as the sender.

In spite of his parent’s efforts, the couple reunited in 2019, but were forced to keep their communication hidden, conversing via telephone or text message to avoid further heartache and meddling from Ioan (Ionuc) Retegan, and his wife, Daniela (Dana) Retegan.

Their opposition of Abigail and Jacob’s relationship only grew stronger, and their actions grew that much more wicked, after Jacob and Abigail were engaged in December of 2019, and Jacob disclosed this to them.

Ioan (Ionuc) Retegan made this announcement because the couple expressed that they would not be allowing him to officiate the wedding, due to the year’s of sinister crimes he had committed against them. The couple, instead, asked Ovidiu Teodorescu if he would officiate their wedding, however, Ovidiu advised them that it would be best to enjoy their big day and choose a neutral party. He knew his officiation of their ceremony would not be received well by the community, as Ioan (Ionuc) Retegan had slandered Ovidiu’s name over the years with everything that had taken place in Nampa. The couple contacted Teo Costea (from Arizona) requesting that he officiate their wedding ceremony, to which Teo Costea obliged.

Jacob and Abigail chose to keep confidential who they had chosen as the minister for their wedding day, as they knew that Ionuc would more than likely try to put a stop to whoever was appointed the task. Jacob, believing it was too late for his father to do anything further about the situation, revealed to his father the evening before the wedding day that Teo Costea would be presiding over the ceremony. Ionuc immediately called Cornel Avraam, the head pastor presiding over Teo Costea’s home church in Arizona, and attempted to use his influence to stop Teo Costea from completing the task he had accepted.

The images attached show this text conversation where Dana admits that she had, in fact, told her son this, and denies any wrongdoing by having advised him to do so. This took place a month before Abigail and Jacob’s wedding day (July 11, 2020).

Situational context: Abigail and Jacob had filed their legal marriage documents with the state in March 2020, and were already married in the eyes of the law, due to COVID restrictions and the fear that the courthouses would close due to mandates, social distancing, and lockdowns.

Context: Jacob and Abigail were speaking over text. Jacob disclosed he was out of town in Portland to purchase a Jeep, with his brother, Jonathan Daniel (JD) Retegan. He furthermore disclosed JD Retegan and his group of friends were all drinking and smoking during the trip, so much so, that Jacob left to spend time with other members of the youth that were also in Portland during the same time.

The attached photograph depicts Jonathan Daniel Retegan’s mugshot, Ioan (Ionuc) Retegan’s second eldest son. Jonathan Daniel (JD) Retegan is known throughout the Nampa community by Romanians, Russians, Americans (anyone who has made his acquaintance) for his carefree, irresponsible lifestyle. This includes but is not limited to: illicit sexual relationships with various girls, possesion, utilization, and addiction to narcotics, drinking while driving with various arrests, reckless driving arrests, etc. (Ionuc) Retegan and his wife, Daniela (Dana) Retegan, are also knows for hiding and coddling JD’s actions, making excuses for, or hiding the truth surrounding their son from the public eye.
